In-Shell Sunflower Products
Begining in the Fall of 2007, Erker Grain Company will only be handling the Xtra Long Type or (XLT) Confection Sunflowers. These seeds are longer than traditional Confections and are mainly consumed in Europe and the Middle East. Through our cleaning process the In-Shell Confection Sunflowers are seperated into three different sizes. Midcut, 20's, and 22+ all shown below. Please click on a picture to view a larger image.

Hi-Plains XLT Midcut
Midcut is our smallest seed size. Our midcut
consists of all seeds that fall through an 18/64 round hole.
This product is intended for
birdseed or hulled for the Kernels.

Our 22+ consists of all the seeds that do not fall
through a 22/64 screen.

Hi-Plains XLT 20's
Our 20's are our mid sized Sunflower Product and fall through a 22/64 screen and stay on top of a 20/64 screen. Our 20's are mainly for Human Consumption but will sometimes be used for birdseed.
